Katzinger's is a New York style deli and Columbus Institution. We have been around since 1984 specializing in the highest quality sandwiches, cheese, meats, catering, and all around fine food. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a commitment to safety, an eye for quality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Part or full time hours available.
Punctuality and willingness to learn and adapt are very important.
Duties include:
- Frequent use of a manual deli slicer
- Prep of vegetables, meats, cheeses, and more
- Cleaning and maintenance of the grill area
- Grilling sandwiches and preparing other items to order
- Providing exceptional service to guests as well as fellow employees
- Maintaining a clean work area in which to perform job functions safely
- Strong communication as all orders are verbally communicated
Requirements:
- 18 years old
- 6 months experience in the food industry
- General knowledge of safe food handling procedures and practices
- Positive and outgoing personality
- Open availability
- Strong time management and organizational skills
