Job Overview
Mourning Dove Grief Center, a service line of Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions, is seeking a compassionate, fully licensed counselor to join our growing team. Mourning Dove provides specialized support for individuals, children, couples, and families navigating grief, loss, serious illness, trauma, and life transitions. This is meaningful clinical work in a mission-driven setting where counselors have the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of people during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Responsibilities
- Perform patient referrals and intake assessments.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide crisis management support and interventions as needed to ensure client safety.
- Facilitate individual, couples, family, and child therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches with a focus on grief, loss, and end-of-life issues
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement and progress.
- Ensure that client records are accurate and complete and maintained in accordance with agency policies and appropriate government regulations.
- Collaborate with other internal and external healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support for clients.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
- Educate clients about coping strategies, resources, and support systems available to them.
- Contributes to a positive working climate.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and attends mandatory meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Willingness to develop skills in specialized areas of end-of-life care, chronic illness, grief and loss, suicide, and trauma.
- Ability to become credentialed with Medicare/Medicaid and all other major commercial insurance providers.
- Ability to function within a team concept.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Must have dependable transportation and a valid Wyoming driver’s license.
- Responsible for maintaining required continuing education hours and/or work experience necessary for Wyoming certification or licensure.
- Will become BLS certified and maintain certification.
Pay: $69,620.05 - $80,232.00 per year
