Looking for an RNs ONLY for a case in Covington. Child is 1 year old. Diagnosis is: Child was born at 24 weeks and currently having chronic lung disease so needs a trach. Lungs won't be developed until Pre-K. She's also diagnosed with hydrocephalus. She underwent two surgeries and now uses a shunt.
Hours a week - 12 hours a day, 5 days a week, 9am to 9pm or 10am to 10pm.
Process: A initial screening will be done via phone and then a clinical interview will take place with a Nurse Supervisor. Afterwards, a meet and greet will happen at the home of the parent.
Pay $60- $65 per Hour
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care for pediatric patients with ventilators and tracheostomies, including airway management, trach care, suctioning, and respiratory support as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including nursing notes, ventilator documentation, and required healthcare documentation.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, assess respiratory status, and evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions.
Requirements:
- Valid RN license in GA.
- Experience or familiarity with caring for children and young adults with complex medical needs, including ventilator dependence, tracheostomies, developmental disabilities, and chronic health conditions.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills to recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ability to remain calm and confident during emergency situations while providing safe, compassionate, and quality care.
- Commitment to supporting pediatric patients with complex medical needs and improving their overall health, comfort, and quality of life.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality with a genuine passion for supporting children with complex medical needs and building trust with families.
