Part-Time On-Site Guitar Product Photographer & Social Media Content Creator
12–20 hours per week | $25/hour starting

We’re a premier guitar store looking for a reliable, detail-oriented creative to join us on-site. You will photograph guitars in our studio using company-provided equipment and edit them to exactly match the framing, lighting, composition, and aesthetic already established on our website: www.guitars.net. Please review the guitar photos and make sure you’re able to make this happen, this is critical.
This part-time role (12–20 hours/week) focuses on consistent product photography, with the balance of time spent on video production and social media content when guitar volume is lower. Video skills are a huge plus.
Weekly Workload Expectations
- Average output: 15 guitars fully photographed, edited, and uploaded to Shopify per week.
- On weeks with fewer guitars, you will shift focus to shooting and editing video content and scheduling social media posts.
Key Responsibilities
Photography & Editing (On-Site)
- Promptly photograph each guitar that needs photos as indicated.
- Photograph guitars on-site in our studio to precisely match our established website style.
- Deliver an average of 15 fully processed guitar product images per week.
- Perform all editing in Lightroom to replicate our current look exactly.
- Optimize images and upload to using our Shopify workflow
Platform & Listing Integration
- Learn and use LitCommerce (Reverb integration software) to upload and manage product imagery and listings across platforms.
Video Production (Huge Plus)
- Shoot and edit short-form video content (product demos, detail videos, Reels, behind-the-scenes, etc.).
- During slower photography weeks, prioritize video creation to maintain content flow.
Social Media Content Management
- Create photo carousels, Reels, and Stories featuring our guitars.
- Schedule and post content across Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and other platforms.
- Manage the content calendar and maintain consistent posting.
- Write engaging captions and handle basic community engagement.
General
- Safely handle guitars and studio equipment.
- Maintain an organized digital asset library.
- Meet weekly output goals and prompt postings while preserving our strict visual consistency.
- Collaborate with the team on product launches and ad campaigns.
Requirements
- Ability to match an existing photography style exactly (most important qualification — please review our website before applying).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating consistent, high-quality product photography and editing.
- Proficiency in Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience creating and managing social media content (Instagram and YouTube preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail, consistency, and reliability.
- Ability to safely and professionally handle guitars.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently within a part-time on-site schedule.
- Must be able to work on-site at our studio location.
- Willingness to learn new software platforms (LitCommerce training will be provided).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice-to-Haves
- Video shooting and editing skills (Reels, short product videos) — huge advantage.
- Prior experience photographing musical instruments or similar detailed products.
- Shopify and multi-platform listing experience.
- Content management and strategy.
- Experienced guitarist and familiarity with instruments and brands
Schedule, Location & Compensation
- 15–20 hours per week on-site (flexible scheduling around weekly needs).
- Starting rate: $25 per hour.
- All photography and video work takes place on-site in our studio.
- Equipment is provided (cameras, lighting, computers, software, etc.).

We’re looking for someone dependable who can consistently deliver 15 guitars per week, promptly handle photography requests as they come in, manage cross-platform listings via LitCommerce, and fill slower weeks with strong video and social content — all while working on-site with our team and equipment.
