About the Role
Ur-Energy is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead day-to-day maintenance operations at our Shirley Basin mine site in Wyoming. This is a hands-on leadership role you'll be on the floor directing skilled trades, coordinating with contractors, managing work orders, and keeping our equipment and facilities running safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise a team of electricians and maintenance technicians in the repair and upkeep of site equipment and facilities
- Plan and schedule maintenance and construction work in coordination with supervisors, contractors, and department heads
- Prioritize and manage work orders to support production and minimize downtime
- Coordinate emergency and unscheduled repairs, keeping operations on track
- Provide analysis and guidance on maintenance best practices for equipment and systems
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Prepare and submit annual department budgets; track and report on costs and activity status
- Lead department safety meetings and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
- Train, mentor, and guide maintenance staff
- Maintain the work order and maintenance database
- Assist with procurement of materials needed for site maintenance activities
- Identify and report faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual situations promptly
What We're Looking For
Required:
- High school diploma or GED plus completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent combination of education and hands-on maintenance experience
- 4+ years of maintenance experience with strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading skilled and semi-skilled trades
- Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and detailed technical drawings
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills written and verbal
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
- Solid understanding of industrial safety practices
You'll Stand Out If You Have:
- Experience in mining, energy, or heavy industrial environments
- Background in ISR (in-situ recovery) or uranium operations
- Familiarity with maintenance management software or CMMS platforms
Work Environment
This is an on-site role at our Shirley Basin, WY location. You'll work in and around active industrial equipment and may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, mechanical vibration, moderate to loud noise, and routine industrial hazards. Physical requirements include:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Climbing ladders to heights of 2025 feet and working on elevated surfaces
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
- Must pass and maintain a respirator fit test
