Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, sanitation, laundry, and custodial tasks, ensuring all standards are met or exceeded.
- Lead, motivate, and manage housekeeping staff through effective team supervision and management techniques.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to verify cleanliness, safety compliance, and adherence to sanitation protocols.
- Train new staff on proper cleaning procedures, safety regulations, industrial cleaning techniques, and customer service expectations.
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks efficiently, and monitor performance to optimize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by implementing proper sanitation practices and safety procedures during all cleaning operations.
- Collaborate with management to improve cleaning processes, manage inventory of cleaning supplies, and maintain equipment in excellent condition.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with a strong background in commercial or industrial cleaning.
- Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within a hospitality or facilities management setting.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management best practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication skills for managerial communication and customer service interactions.
- Experience with laundry operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
