Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Sewer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing precise sewing and assembly tasks to produce high-quality garments and upholstery products. This role requires a strong understanding of sewing techniques, materials handling, and safety standards in a fast-paced production environment. Duties
- Operate industrial sewing machines, including serging and embroidery equipment, to assemble garments and upholstery with precision.
- Measure fabric materials accurately using measuring instruments to ensure proper dimensions and fit.
- Conduct manual fabric cutting in accordance with pattern specifications, maintaining safety standards throughout the process.
- Execute seam construction, garment sewing, and upholstery assembly following detailed technical specifications.
- Monitor quality standards in production by inspecting stitched components for consistency, durability, and adherence to specifications.
- Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage and movement of fabrics and finished products.
- Perform dimensional measurements on finished items to verify compliance with design standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by following safety protocols in all manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with team members on garment construction, sewing, embroidery, and quality control tasks to meet production deadlines.
Skills
- Proficiency with measuring instruments used for fabric and garment measurements.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards in production, ensuring high-quality output.
- Expertise in seam construction, garment sewing, upholstery assembly, and fabric materials.
- Experience operating various sewing machines including industrial sewing machines, sergers (overlock machines), and embroidery equipment.
- Skilled in materials handling within a warehouse setting for efficient workflow.
- Ability to perform manual cutting of fabrics accurately based on pattern requirements.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents.
- Knowledge of garment construction techniques and sewing processes.
- Understanding of dimensional measurements critical for quality assurance.
- Experience working with diverse fabric materials used in upholstery and apparel manufacturing.
- Background in manufacturing processes related to sewing, embroidery, and product assembly.
- Previous warehouse experience supporting efficient material flow and inventory management.
