RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials

Develops lesson plans and assessments to effectively meet student needs and motivate students to be successful

Maintains safe and orderly environment

Communicates with parents/guardians

Maintains complete and accurate student records

Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members

Monitors and assesses student achievement
-
Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings
-
Models professional, moral, and ethical standards in all interactions and job functions

Performs related duties as assigned by the building administrator(s) in accordance with the school/division policies and practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in Secondary Mathematics

Applicant with teaching experience must have an acceptable rating from previous employer
-
Ability to effectively use and integrate technology
25-26 Starting Salary: $51,005 (Bachelor's Level)
2026-2027 Salary: TBD

Educational Supplements:
Master's: +7% of base salary
BA + 15: $750
Teacher National Board Certification: $2,000
Doctorate: $2000
