Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in a new pediatric primary care office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring a high level of patient care. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a pediatric, family-centered office.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures if needed.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
- Perform routine in house point of care testing including but not limited to vision, hearing, and basic labs such as hemoglobin and lead.
- Administer injections as directed if licensed to do so.
- Conduct basic life support (BLS) procedures when necessary.
- Manage patient flow within the office.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in coding practices relevant to medical billing.
- Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not required.
- Excellent patient service skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) techniques effectively.
- Familiarity with pediatric procedures is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinic environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork within a healthcare setting.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
