Our client is currently using a third-party vendor for their IT needs, but their goal is to move away from that and have this IT Manager/Network Administrator create a true IT department in house so it's an exciting opportunity to build from the ground floor!!
IT Manager/Network Administrator
Position Summary
The IT Manager/Network Administrator is responsible for overseeing the organization's information technology operations, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of all IT systems and infrastructure. This hands-on leadership role supports both office and production environments by managing networks, servers, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, end-user support, and technology initiatives that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for onsite and remote users, resolving hardware, software, network, and system issues in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud platforms, business applications, and endpoint devices.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain hardware, software, and networking equipment.
- Monitor system performance and proactively recommend improvements to increase reliability, security, and efficiency.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute IT projects, system implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and technology initiatives.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity practices to protect company systems, networks, and data.
- Conduct routine security assessments and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable data protection standards.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, software providers, and service partners to ensure quality support and cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain software licensing, IT asset inventories, and annual technology budgets while providing recommendations for future investments.
- Develop and deliver user training on technology systems, cybersecurity awareness, and IT best practices.
- Prioritize IT initiatives based on business needs, production requirements, and organizational objectives.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in an IT management or systems administration role.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Windows server administration
- Network infrastructure and administration
- Cloud platforms and services
- Cybersecurity best practices
- Endpoint management
- Business applications and software support
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical support.
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time position (40+ hours per week) with an onsite presence supporting both office and manufacturing operations.
