Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager, Kitchen Manager, or Chef to lead the daily operations of the deli and restaurant side of our busy gas station, smoke shop, and restaurant complex in Wapato. You will be the hands-on leader responsible for all kitchen and front-of-house restaurant functions, while our dedicated Operations Manager oversees the overall business. Duties
- Oversee all daily operations of the deli/restaurant, including food preparation, menu execution, quality control, and customer service.
- Manage and schedule kitchen and restaurant staff; train, coach, and develop the team to maintain high standards.
- Handle inventory ordering, cost control, waste management, and supplier relationships to maximize profitability.
- Ensure full compliance with all health department regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, dining area, cooler, and dry storage.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to deliver consistent, high-quality meals.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager on menu development, specials, and operational improvements.
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally while driving a positive team culture.
- Track daily sales, labor costs, and key performance metrics.
Experience
- 2+ years of restaurant management, kitchen management, or chef experience (deli, quick-service, or casual dining preferred).
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Current Washington Food Handler’s Permit (or ability to obtain immediately).
- Knowledge of food safety, inventory management, and basic P&L responsibilities.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends, and some holidays).
- Passion for great food and exceptional customer service.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Pay: $25.00 - $31.25 per hour
