Duties
- Supervise dogs during play sessions, ensuring safe interactions and preventing conflicts or injuries
- Assist with dog handling, including feeding, walking, and administering basic pet care routines
- Restrain animals safely using animal restraint techniques when necessary to ensure safety for both pets and staff
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including kennels, play zones, and grooming stations
- Provide pet grooming and basic pet sitting services to keep dogs comfortable and happy during their stay
- Monitor animal behavior closely, recognizing signs of stress or illness and reporting concerns promptly
- Engage in outdoor work activities such as walking dogs in designated outdoor areas and supervising outdoor playtime
Qualifications
- Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Strong dog handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint and behavior management techniques
- Experience in pet grooming, pet sitting, or kennel work demonstrates your ability to care for animals effectively
- Background in animal handling, manual handling, or outdoor work enhances your suitability for this role
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle supplies or assist with larger dogs
- Passion for animal care with a background in pet training or equine experience is a plus
