School-based Physical Therapy gives you the opportunity to apply your clinical skills directly to the activities students need to perform throughout their day.

What You Will Do
As a School-Based Physical Therapist, you will evaluate students, identify barriers to functional participation, and develop individualized Physical Therapy recommendations that support success within the educational environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Complete comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations
- Assess strength, balance, mobility, positioning, coordination, accessibility, and functional participation
- Develop individualized Physical Therapy goals and treatment recommendations
- Provide school-based Physical Therapy services based on student needs
- Participate in Individualized Education Program meetings
- Contribute PT recommendations to student IEPs
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on functional outcomes
- Recommend adaptive equipment, mobility devices, positioning supports, and environmental modifications when appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and other therapy professionals
- Educate school teams on strategies that improve mobility, accessibility, and participation
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Supervise and support Physical Therapist Assistants
- Help maintain high-quality and coordinated Physical Therapy services across assigned schools

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Physical Therapist who brings strong clinical judgment, compassion, communication, and a genuine interest in helping children become more independent.
Qualifications include:
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current or eligible Florida Department of Health Physical Therapist license
- Strong Physical Therapy evaluation and clinical reasoning skills
- Interest in pediatric or school-based Physical Therapy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with families, educators, and therapy professionals
- Ability to develop functional and individualized treatment recommendations
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to supervise and support Physical Therapist Assistants
- Commitment to individualized, student-centered care
Previous pediatric or school-based Physical Therapy experience is preferred but not required.
