Overview

Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently while verifying invoices and payments.
- Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, to record financial transactions accurately in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Conduct bank reconciliations and account reconciliations regularly to verify account balances.
- Generate detailed financial reports, including financial statement writing, for internal review and external audits.
- Manage budgeting processes and assist with financial planning activities as needed.
- Ensure timely processing of tax-related documentation and maintain meticulous records for audit purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience with accounting software.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping and GAAP standards.
- Familiarity with public accounting procedures and governmental accounting requirements.
- Expertise in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and prepare accurate financial reports.
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy.
- Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and tax experience is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, budgeting, and technical accounting practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining precise records in accordance with regulatory standards.
