We are looking for technically skilled candidates with good problem-solving ability for our Technicians position. The duties of a technician include being a reference point for all queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties. Technicians are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels, as well as clientele. They are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems, and implement solutions to them. Projects range from NYC through The Hamptons.
Service Technician Responsibilities:
Setting up routers and access points for installation
Troubleshooting connectivity issues
Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
Upgrading and updating the systems to the latest firmware.
Providing remote assistance to clientele to resolve issues
Reviewing tickets through the email based system and updating end users to status of repairs
Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
Establishing good relationships with client base
Conducting backup operations.
Managing technical documentation.
Ensuring all pertinent information is documented
Building virtual racks for on-site installation team
Physical rack building and equipment preparations
Shell programming of upcoming Automation projects
Pre-installation setup and programming of alarm panels
Willingness to periodically go on-site to resolve any issues that cannot be addressed over the phone or remotely.
Service Technician Requirements:
1+ years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail.
Good problem-solving skills.
M-F, 9am-5:30pm
Helpful, but not required:Alarm programming experience
Knowledge of Automation Systems such as Control4 or Savant
Clean NYS Drivers License, 401k after 1 year, $60-65k/year
