Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Buss tables and clear dining areas efficiently to maintain a tidy service environment
- Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy pots, trays, or boxes to prevent injuries
- Maintain strict sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, and storage areas
- Support food safety management by adhering to all kitchen health and safety standards
- Assist in the proper disposal of waste and recycling materials to ensure a clean workspace
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key!
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment
