Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Air Freight Import/Export Specialist to join our North American Branch. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide accurate and competitive quotations to clients, ensuring their shipping needs are met efficiently. Additionally, the position involves managing the entire logistics process from start to finish, coordinating with importers, truckers, and carriers to ensure timely delivery, and maintaining up-to-date customer records and databases.
This role is dynamic and offers significant growth potential. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to transition into the company's Management Trainee Program, which is designed to develop future business leaders in the logistics industry. The program provides accelerated career development through a structured blend of on-the-job training and real-life work experience. Furthermore, the position may involve future rotations across different roles, providing a comprehensive understanding of the company's operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Air Import Operations: Manage air import shipments from origin to final delivery, including booking, arrival, customs clearance, delivery, and shipment closing.
- Quotations & Cost Control: Prepare accurate and competitive import quotations, review freight and handling charges, and help maintain cost-effective solutions.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and review AWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, arrival notices, and other import documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Customs Clearance: Coordinate with customs brokers and follow up on customs clearance, holds, examinations, and documentation issues.
- Carrier & Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with airlines, truckers, warehouses, customs brokers, overseas offices, and other logistics providers.
- Shipment Tracking & Problem Resolution: Monitor shipments, provide timely updates, and proactively resolve delays, operational issues, and delivery problems.
- Customer Service: Maintain strong relationships with customers and provide timely and professional communication throughout the shipment process.
- System Management: Maintain accurate shipment and customer records in GoFreight, CargoWise, or other freight forwarding systems.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in air freight import, freight forwarding, logistics, or international trade.
- Strong understanding of air import operations, customs clearance, airline procedures, cargo handling, and delivery processes.
- Hands-on experience with GoFreight, CargoWise, or similar freight forwarding systems is required.
- Experience preparing quotations and coordinating with airlines, truckers, customs brokers, and overseas offices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $4,500.00 - $5,200.00 per month
