AC Panda is a growing Mechanical & Electrical company serving both residential and commercial customers throughout Jacksonville and surrounding areas.
We are hiring an experienced Dispatcher & Permit Coordinator to help manage daily technician dispatching, incoming calls, permits, and inspection coordination.
This is a fast-paced role for someone who is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
What You’ll Do
- Dispatch Mechanical and Electrical technicians throughout the Jacksonville area
- Coordinate residential and commercial service calls
- Manage and adjust the daily technician schedule
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls
- Route technicians based on urgency, location, availability, and skill set
- Communicate schedule changes, delays, and appointment information with customers
- Handle Mechanical and Electrical permits as they come in
- Submit and track permit applications
- Communicate with local building departments and municipalities
- Schedule and track inspections
- Follow up on permits, inspections, corrections, and open items until completed
- Maintain accurate notes and documentation
Knowledge of Jacksonville and surrounding ZIP codes is a big plus.
Knowing the area well can help you route technicians more efficiently and reduce unnecessary drive time.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous dispatching experience
- Has experience in HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, construction, permitting, or home services
- Can comfortably handle a high volume of phone calls
- Is highly organized and detail-oriented
- Can manage changing priorities without becoming overwhelmed
- Can pause a task, handle an urgent call or request, and return to the original task without losing track of it
- Keeps track of unfinished tasks and follows through to completion
- Communicates professionally with customers, technicians, inspectors, and municipalities
- Is comfortable using scheduling software, email, computers, and online permitting systems
- Takes ownership and does not need constant reminders
- Is dependable, punctual, and solution-oriented

- You become easily overwhelmed when priorities change
- You have difficulty returning to unfinished work after an interruption

- You prefer a highly predictable workday with few interruptions
We believe in focusing on one task at a time and doing it correctly. However, dispatching naturally comes with interruptions.
You may be working on a permit when the phone rings. You will handle the call, take care of what needs immediate attention, and then return to the permit where you left off.
Staying organized and following through is essential.
