Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced RV Technician, ideally with industrial certifications to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of recreational vehicle systems and components to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, electrical expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse range of RVs, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and repair techniques to uphold our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on RV systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components using specialized equipment.
- Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and other critical vehicle systems.
- Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to maintain vehicle longevity.
- Repair and replace automotive electrical systems, wiring harnesses, soldering connections, and auto body components as needed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely to complete repair tasks efficiently.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to diesel engines, air brakes, HVAC units, and automotive electrical systems.
- Assist customers by providing clear explanations of repairs needed and recommend appropriate maintenance or upgrades.
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced and ensure all work complies with safety standards.
- Support inventory management by ordering parts and supplies necessary for repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and enhance overall service quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an RV technician or automotive service technician with dealership or independent shop background preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with transmissions, oil changes, air brake systems, alignments, suspension repairs, HVAC servicing, tire service, shocks & struts replacement.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other automotive repair tools.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems including wiring diagrams and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Valid certification or licensing in automotive or RV repair is highly desirable.
