Position Title: Singles Empowerment Coach Team Lead
Reports to: Chief Programs Officer
Pay Rate: $55,000 - $65,000
About the Organization:
The Samaritan Inn was founded in 1984 as a 10-bed single men’s homeless shelter. Since then, it has grown to become one of the largest shelters for our unhoused neighbors in North Texas. We serve single men, women, and families, with the capacity to serve up to 226 residents. We ensure housing stability through prevention, access, and comprehensive support, affirming dignity, strengthening independence, and cultivating a community rooted in care.
Summary of the Job:
We are seeking an experienced social work leader to serve as our Singles Team Lead. This is more than a supervisory position—it is an opportunity to shape culture, develop staff, mentor future social workers, and help residents achieve long-term housing stability through evidence-informed, person-centered practice.
Essential Functions:
- Lead, coach, and develop the Singles Empowerment Coach team.
- Provide supervision and field instruction for BSW and MSW interns.
- Maintain a limited resident caseload while supporting complex cases.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary case staffing and collaborate across the Programs Division.
- Promote high-quality documentation, ethical practice, and resident-centered decision making.
- Monitor resident progress toward employment, financial stability, and permanent housing.
- Partner with community organizations and internal teams to achieve successful outcomes.

Required Education & Experience:
- Master of Social Work (MSW) required.
- Current Texas LMSW or eligibility preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in social work, behavioral health, housing, or human services.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience working with unhoused individuals, poverty, mental health challenges, or substance use disorders.
- Excellent written, verbal, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to supervise staff and social work interns.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience serving as a BSW/MSW field instructor.
- Training in Motivational Interviewing.
- Training in Trauma-Informed Care.
- Knowledge of housing stability practices.
- Experience with Salesforce or comparable case management systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
