Location: Northborough, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (No weekends)
- 9-hour shifts including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks
Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour, to be hired in at a higher rate with full union benefits and pension plan after 90 days
About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and physically capable Material Handler to join our team. This position involves heavy lifting and manual handling of storage materials in a fast-paced environment. Note: There are some areas in the warehouse that are NOT climate controlled.
Job Responsibilities
- Manually lift, carry, and move boxes, bins, and totes weighing from 10 lbs to over 100 lbs
- Process incoming and outgoing orders including files, books, binders, and backup tapes
- Safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Load and shrink wrap pallets at ground level or on carts
- Load boxes onto pallets and manually load pallets onto trucks
- Use handheld scanners and proprietary computer systems to track inventory and locate items
- Read labels and accurately process orders
- Climb and balance on ladders as needed
- Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods
- Navigate stairs, inclines, and uneven surfaces while carrying materials
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs without assistance
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
- Must wear protective footwear that meets ASTM F2413-11 standards and has a slip-resistant rating of “Better” or “Best”
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking
