CLASSIFICATION MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The College of Education Building Coordinator is looking to hire an enthusiastic student assistant to assist with building tasks. The student assistant is a key support staff member for the Building Coordinator. Student assistant tasks include but are not limited to:

Classroom support (reset, verification of furniture, and lock/unlock doors)
Help with meeting/event space
Asset management
Scanning documents
Maintain an orderly and clean facility
Maintain confidentiality
Perform other duties as assigned

EXPECTED SALARY:

$14 per hour

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Be a current University of Florida full-time student in good standing with the University
Qualify for the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program in Fall and Spring
Demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Establish an exemplary work ethic by being dependable, productive, paying attention to details and maintaining effective communication
Ability to dedicate 10-15 hours per week

PREFERRED:

Fine attention to detail, professionalism, dependability and effective communication skills
Ability to work as a team member
Prior customer service skills are preferred
Demonstrated communication, organizational and leadership skills
Effective interpersonal communication skills
Self-starter; self-motivated; timely
Experience using Microsoft Office, Excel, & Outlook
