American Traveler is hiring a Surgical Services Pediatric CVOR Tech for a pediatric cardiovascular OR setting, requiring NBSTSA certification and at least 1 year of relevant surgical tech experience.

Pediatric cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting within a children's hospital
-
Surgical cases include OB procedures (C-section, D&C, D&E, tubal ligation, cerclage) as well as high-risk non-OB cases (accreta/cyst, laparoscopic ectopic, cystoscopy)

Average daily surgical case volume of 6

Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

On-call required

Blocked scheduling available

No floating requirements within the unit

Cerner charting experience required

Active IN or Compact RN/Surgical Tech license required

NBSTSA certification must be in hand at time of consideration

BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted, must be current)

Minimum 1 year of relevant surgical tech experience required

L&D experience, sterilization, scrubbing, high-level disinfection (HLD), and aseptic technique required
-
Decontamination, crash cart, and scope/probe reprocessing experience preferred

Cerner EMR experience required

2 supervisor references required

SSN and DOB required

Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program required

Local candidates (Indiana residents) are accepted for this Surgical Services position

Candidates who are current or former permanent/PRN employees of IU Health must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler

Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break; in-state residents require a 180-day break

Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
