Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Leasing Specialist to join our property management team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for prospective tenants and current residents, managing lease agreements, coordinating property showings, and ensuring a seamless leasing experience. Your expertise will help foster positive relationships, uphold fair housing regulations, and support the overall success of our property portfolio. Responsibilities
- Manage the full leasing process, including conducting property tours, explaining lease terms, and negotiating rental agreements to secure qualified tenants.
- Maintain accurate records of lease agreements, tenant files, and related documentation using property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, Section 8 housing programs, and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to facilitate property upkeep and address tenant requests promptly.
- Answer all incoming phone calls
- Conduct client communication via phone, email, and in person to answer inquiries, upsell available units, and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property leasing, property management, or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of lease or rental agreement management.
- Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar tools; experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
- Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC compliance, and facilities management practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and client relationship management abilities.
- Strong organizational skills including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate tenant records.
- Ability to handle conflict situations diplomatically while demonstrating negotiation skills.
- Office experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for reporting and correspondence.
- Team management experience is desirable but not required; a collaborative attitude is essential for success in this role.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
