Overview
As a Shop Manager, you will be the dynamic leader of a Take 5 Oil shop, driving sales and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. Your role is pivotal in creating a vibrant store atmosphere where team members are motivated, and customers feel valued. You will oversee daily operations, manage inventory, and lead a passionate team to achieve sales goals while maintaining high standards of service.
What you’ll do
- Lead and inspire your team to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets.
- Manage inventory control processes, ensuring optimal stock levels and effective merchandising.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, including payroll management and bookkeeping.
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills and performance.
- Implement effective recruiting strategies to build a strong team; conduct interviews and supervise new hires.
- Utilize retail math for pricing strategies and budget management to maximize profitability.
- Foster a positive work environment through strong communication skills and team management practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies while maintaining an organized and efficient store layout.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management fields or as an assistant manager with 2 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
- Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
