Job Description
Our client, a leading federal defense contractor is seeking a Quality Inspector to work 100% onsite at their facility in Charleroi, PA.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect parts, materials, assemblies and equipment for compliance to specified requirements and perform real-time defect evaluation.
- Operate and monitor automated test equipment
- Preparing QA documentation and verifying corrective action implementation and rework.
Required Skills
- Must be US Citizen due to the nature of work being performed
- Must be willing to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- High School diploma plus a minimum of 6 years of directly related experience is required. Associates degree in Electronics, Computer Science, and Mechanical engineering is preferred plus 4 years of related experience.
- J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750 and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required
- Distinct knowledge of ESD control, workmanship standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and statistics and process control techniques
- Skilled in the set-up of basic electronic test configurations or mechanical test configurations and basic mechanical measurement tools.
- Must have strong communication skills to interface with coworkers, internal customers and potentially suppliers.

- Conversion pay: $33.50-35.00 per hour + employee benefits including health, PTO/vacation, etc.
- 100% Onsite in Charleroi, PA 15022
- Interview Process: Phone screen followed by onsite
- The role is part of their Incoming Inspection Group (they receive parts from vendors, manufactures and from other internal teams.
- The group is experiencing a lot of growth
- There are 3 big buckets that the HM is looking for:
1. Mechanical Inspections - Fabricated Metals
2. Cables
3. Circuit Card Assembly (CCA)
- Exposure to IPC 610 or 620 would be ideal
- Experience inspecting soldering work (this person will not be doing any soldering)
- Mechanical Tools: micrometers, calipers, flood gauges, ring gauges, etc...(pretty much any hand tool that you can think of)
- CCA inspection tools: 4x magnification lens
