About the company:
Unixsurplus Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for the Electronic Assembly position. Candidates must be looking for a full time position, a long-term commitment, and possess a willingness to learn about our company and our products. UNIXSurplus, Inc. is a discount reseller of new and refurbished servers.
This is a carry-up position. We promote internally to inventory management, shipping management, and computer technician positions. Promotions available after 6 months.
Position: Electronic Assembly Clerk
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, modify, and rack-mount server components, switches, and sub-assemblies according to blueprints; perform full hardware teardowns when decommissioning units.
- Route and label copper and fiber optic cables cleanly to data center standards, while managing the unboxing, asset-tagging, and logging of incoming IT equipment.
- Conduct visual inspections, hardware testing, and basic power-on self-tests (POST) to ensure all units meet quality, performance, and safety benchmarks before deployment.
- Oversee warehouse inventory flow by efficiently pulling, packing, and shipping products to meet deployment timelines.
- Maintain an orderly, clean, and ESD-safe (Electrostatic Discharge) assembly environment, warehouse, and yard to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
Key Traits, Skills, and Requirements:

- Computer Literate: Experience with MS Office / Google Suite.
- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver's License
- Must have the ability to work in the US legally
- Must be able to travel
Work Hours:
- 40hrs / week
- Monday - Friday
- Full-time
- Occasional Overtime and Saturdays
- 8:30AM-5PM
