CHMI is currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician to provide basic maintenance and repairs at various apartment developments throughout Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz Counties.
Duties include responding to service orders and requests for repairs, performing visual examination and operational tests to determine the need for repair work and perform a wide variety of repairs involved in the upkeep of building, grounds and utilities. Repair duties may include repairs to plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, tubs, and water faucets; repair and/or replacement of tankless and tank water heaters, stoves, refrigerators, and other appliances; light carpentry; painting and preparing apartments for new tenants.
Qualifications: Must have basic knowledge of plumbing systems & carpentry, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Must have a valid California driver's license. Must be able to speak, read and write English. Ability to speak Spanish is desirable. Final candidates must successfully complete a background investigation.
The pay for this position is $27.78 per hour.
