CNC Operator Job Description

Max TA Group is a growing manufacturing company specializing in high-performance transparent armor and architectural glass solutions for military, commercial, and residential markets. Our team is expanding, and we’re looking for skilled CNC professionals with experience in glass fabrication to join our advanced manufacturing division.
Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced CNC Operators/Programmers who have worked specifically with glass CNC machinery, including cutting, edge polishing, and drilling equipment. This individual will play a key role in producing high-precision glass components for defense and commercial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC glass equipment (such as Intermac, Bovone, CMS, or similar)
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders
- Program CNC machines or adjust existing programs as needed
- Monitor operations and inspect glass for quality, dimension accuracy, and edge finish
- Perform machine setup and routine maintenance
- Work with tempered, laminated, and low-iron glass
- Adhere to safety standards and quality control procedures
- Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding production issues
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating CNC equipment for glass fabrication
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, etc.)
- Understanding of ANSI Z97.1, ASTM C1048, or similar glass manufacturing standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight tolerances
- Ability to lift glass and stand for extended periods
- Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with tempering oven operations or vertical glass machinery
- Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, tape measure, etc.)
- Previous work in a defense or architectural glass manufacturing environment

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
