Regional Director — Savoy Residential
Position Summary
Savoy Residential is hiring a Regional Director to own the operating performance of an assigned portfolio of communities — occupancy, revenue, collections, resident retention, and asset condition. This role leads property-level managers, sets and enforces operating standards, and serves as the primary link between on-site execution and Savoy Residential leadership. The ideal Regional Director acts as an owner of portfolio outcomes, not just a supervisor of tasks.
Qualifications for the Regional Director Role
- 7+ years of multifamily property management experience, including 3+ years overseeing multiple properties or a regional portfolio
- Proven track record improving occupancy, NOI, and collections performance across a portfolio
- Strong working knowledge of Texas Property Code, fair housing law, and eviction process
- Experience with property management systems; comfort with data-driven pricing and reporting tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable a multi-site management team
- Bachelor's degree preferred; CAM, CAPS, or equivalent industry certification a plus
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Performance
- Own occupancy, rent growth, collections, and NOI performance across assigned properties against budget and ownership expectations
- Review and approve pricing strategy in coordination with market intelligence and leasing leadership
- Identify underperforming assets early and drive corrective action plans; flag budget variances over 5% with reason and recommended action
Team Leadership
- Hire, train, coach, and hold accountable Property Managers within the portfolio
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular property visits and audits
- Build bench strength and succession coverage across the portfolio
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure consistent execution of leasing, maintenance, turn, and resident-service standards across all sites, utilizing existing Savoy platforms
- Coordinate with Savoy GC on renovation/value-add work and property takeovers or dispositions, if applicable
Owner & Cross-Divisional Coordination
- Serve as the operating voice to ownership/investors on portfolio performance, in coordination with Savoy Equity
- Partner with Marketing on lease-up and reputation strategy for underperforming or newly stabilized assets
- Partner with Accounting on owner reporting, budget variance explanations, and capital-expense requests
