Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, and finishing
- Support the installation of rebar, formwork, and metal stud framing according to blueprints and schematics
- Carry out concrete pouring, finishing, and stucco application while adhering to safety protocols
- Interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate execution of tasks
- Perform heavy lifting and material transportation around the site while maintaining proper safety procedures
- Support specialized tasks such as roofing, masonry, tile laying, carpentry (including trim carpentry), caulking, plastering, and restoration work
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a solid understanding of construction workplace safety regulations
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with concrete forming, concrete pumping, cutting, finishing, and pouring techniques
- Experience working on diverse construction projects including renovation, commercial builds, or restoration sites
- Knowledge of safety protocols including proper use of hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and working at heights (roofing) or in confined spaces (masonry)
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or site transportation if required; certification in safety training preferred
