Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble menu items following precise recipes and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and food prep tools
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for daily service needs
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, process payments, and provide excellent customer service at the front counter
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Follow food handling procedures to uphold safety standards in production and prevent cross-contamination
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Experience working in food service, restaurant, or catering environments
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes
- Demonstrated ability to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in a fast-paced setting
