Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex accounting functions, ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and support financial reporting processes. Your expertise will help drive accurate financial analysis, streamline accounting operations, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger adjustments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage processes using accounting software such as Sage Intacct, Samsara and Paycom.
- Oversee intercompany eliminations and prepare consolidated financial statements.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial data, including variance analysis and trend identification to support management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist with audit preparations.
- Maintain asset/depreciation files, vehicle permitting and licensing..
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including general ledger reconciliation and preparation of financial reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles with a strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting principles.
- Extensive knowledge of software such as Sage, Excel and Paycom.
- Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.Proficiency in data entry (10 key typing) along with attention to detail for precise bookkeeping tasks. Pay: $65,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
