KING GEORGE TRUCK CENTER is a rapidly growing company specializing in heavy truck repair, fabrication, and custom truck upfitting. We're looking for a motivated technician who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and taking pride in the finished product.
This is not a repetitive production welding position. The work in our fabrication dept. changes from one project to the next. We're looking for someone who can think through a job, work independently, and help turn an idea or customer request into a clean, professional finished product.
What you'll be doing
Our projects vary considerably, but typical work includes:
- Welding and custom metal fabrication
- Truck upfitting and accessory installation
- Installing fenders, headache racks, toolboxes, and other truck accessories
- Installing and plumbing hydraulic systems
- Installing PTO's, pump, hydraulic tanks, valves, hoses, and related components
- Installing custom lighting and performing electrial work
- Installing and modifying exhause systems
- Fabricating custom brackets, mounts, panels, and components
- Measuring, laying out, cutting, drilling, fitting, and assembling materials
- Taking work orders and helping customers determine the best solution for their truck
- Working through custom projects that require problem-solving and attention to detail.

What we're looking for:
Experience in any of these areas are preferred.
- Mig and Tig Welding
- Metal fabrication
- CNC laser, plasma, and press brake
- Truck upfitting
- Hydraulic systems
- PTO and pump installation
- Mechanical troubleshooting
What matters most is having the mechanical ability, willingness to learn and pride in your workmanship.

Pay: $26.55 - $35.00 per hour
