Duties
- Supervise daily dairy department operations, including stocking, merchandising, and inventory control to ensure product freshness and availability
- Lead hiring processes by interviewing candidates, conducting employee orientation sessions, and onboarding new team members effectively
- Manage payroll processing, scheduling shifts, and overseeing cashiering activities to optimize store efficiency
- Implement pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to boost sales while maintaining profitability
- Train staff on customer service excellence, POS (Point of Sale) systems, store policies, and safety procedures
- Oversee purchasing decisions for dairy products, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely stock replenishment
- Monitor inventory levels regularly to prevent shortages or overstocking; conduct stock audits and manage shrinkage issues
- Enforce store policies on cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and security protocols to safeguard assets
- Develop sales strategies through merchandising initiatives and marketing efforts to attract more customers
- Lead team management efforts by supervising staff performance, providing coaching, and fostering a collaborative work environment
Skills
- Strong leadership qualities with proven supervisory experience in retail or grocery environments
- Excellent communication skills for effective team management and customer interactions
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math for accurate sales tracking and pricing
- Skilled in negotiation with vendors and employees to achieve favorable terms and resolve conflicts amicably
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Experience in employee orientation, training & development, recruiting, and payroll administration
- Sound organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, budgeting, cash handling procedures, and retail sales strategies
- Demonstrated expertise in merchandising, stock management, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives
- Exceptional time management skills to oversee shift management and daily operations seamlessly
