Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive patient care across diverse clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized care environments. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties such as internal medicine, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health.
- Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and sterile processing techniques with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document medical records accurately and efficiently.
- Administer medications via injections or IV infusions while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medication protocols.
- Provide patient education on disease management, medication use, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications; support health coaching initiatives.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, sonography, medical imaging, or other modalities; interpret results for clinical decision-making.
- Participate in telehealth consultations and triage services to deliver accessible care remotely when needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and post-acute care strategies.
- Support specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy for neurological or cosmetic indications and esthetic laser treatments for dermatological procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification (e.g., NCCPA).
- Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; hospital medicine or emergency room experience highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10).
- Experience with diverse clinical procedures including suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheter care, spinal taps, and NG tube feeding.
- Background in managing complex cases involving infectious disease care, pain management, hospice & palliative medicine or occupational health is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as urgent care centers or outpatient clinics; telehealth experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessments confidently across all age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology principles, and diagnostic evaluation techniques essential for comprehensive patient care.
- Additional skills such as dermal fillers administration, esthetic laser treatment experience or spinal tap procedures are desirable but not mandatory. Pay: $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per hour
