About the Position
Our agency is currently seeking experienced and dependable Registered Nurse (RNS) Supervisors for 7–3 PM and 3–11 PM shifts in Colchester, CT. These 13-week temp-to-perm opportunities are ideal for nursing professionals looking to transition into a permanent leadership role while gaining firsthand experience with the facility and team environment.
We are looking for strong clinical leaders who are passionate about patient care, staff support, and maintaining high standards of nursing excellence in a long-term care and rehabilitation setting.
RN Supervisor Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs during assigned shifts.
- Ensure quality patient care and compliance with facility policies and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor resident conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care planning.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and shift reports.
- Ensure infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards are met.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and staff education as needed.
RN Supervisor Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Connecticut.
- Previous supervisory experience in long-term care or rehabilitation preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.
- Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care.
- Ability to work either the 7–3 PM or 3–11 PM shift, including every other weekend.
