Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs, providing detailed product demos when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive merchandising display to enhance product visibility and appeal
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to maximize customer satisfaction and store sales
- Educate customers on product effects, usage guidelines, and responsible consumption practices using clear communication skills
- Restock shelves, manage inventory levels, and ensure products are properly labeled and stored according to safety standards
- Assist with phone inquiries, providing professional assistance while maintaining excellent phone etiquette
- Support supervising staff with daily operations, including stock management and customer service initiatives
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments involving customer interaction
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly, clear interactions both in person and over the phone
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and basic retail math for accurate inventory management and sales tracking
- Experience conducting product demos or upselling to enhance customer engagement is highly desirable
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly with attention to detail in cash handling procedures
