Position Overview
Apple Signs is looking for a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Sales & Operations Coordinator to join our growing team.
This role serves as the central point of communication between our customers, production team, installers, vendors, and ownership. You'll help manage customer relationships, prepare estimates, coordinate projects, keep production on schedule, and occasionally assist with local business development by visiting nearby businesses and commercial centers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, solving problems, and helping a team succeed. Previous sign industry experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers.
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
- Meet with customers to discuss signage needs and gather project information.
- Prepare estimates and follow up on outstanding quotes.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Provide customers with regular project updates from estimate through installation.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every stage of the project.
Project & Operations Coordination
- Coordinate projects from estimate through production and installation.
- Schedule production, deliveries, and installation appointments.
- Communicate daily with production staff, installers, vendors, and ownership.
- Track project progress and help ensure deadlines are met.
- Identify scheduling conflicts or project issues and communicate solutions.
- Maintain accurate project notes, customer communications, and job records using the company's project management system.
- Help organize daily shop workflow and ensure projects continue moving efficiently.
- Assist with ordering materials and coordinating vendor deliveries when needed.
Business Development
- Help grow Apple Signs by building relationships with local businesses.
- Occasionally visit nearby shopping centers, office parks, and commercial developments to introduce our services.
- Follow up on customer referrals and sales opportunities.
- Represent Apple Signs professionally within the local business community.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term customer relationships.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Professional, dependable, and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn project management software.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation for occasional local customer visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in customer service, sales, project coordination, account management, or operations.
- Experience in the sign, printing, construction, manufacturing, or related industries is a plus but not required.
- Experience preparing estimates or quotes is helpful but not required.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- Occasional local customer visits during business hours
Compensation
- Starting Salary: $35,000 per year
- Opportunities for advancement as the company grows
- Quarterly performance bonus opportunities available after six months of employment, based on company growth and overall business performance.
