Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, financial management, and regulatory reporting. This role requires a proactive individual with exceptional QuickBooks Online proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with high productivity. This is an on-site position, requiring immediate availability for five full days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including bookkeeping, payroll administration, A/P, A/R management, and bank reconciliations.
- Financial Controls: Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting.
- Account Analysis: Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Financial Statements: Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS and GAAP standards.
- Cash Forecasting: Develop and maintain cash forecasting models to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Management Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for financial performance improvement.
- Annual Budgeting: Lead the annual budgeting process, providing financial insights and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Technical Accounting Research: Conduct technical accounting research and provide recommendations to support complex transactions and financial reporting issues.
- Audit Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Team Management: Supervise and manage the accounting team, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Managers, and other accounting support staff. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of full-time accounting experience, specifically with small companies, demonstrating a thorough understanding of small business financial operations.
- QuickBooks Online Expertise: Highly advanced skills in QuickBooks Online, with a proven track record of effectively managing financial data using the software.
- Education: A degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- Excel Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Excel, with experience in financial budgeting and forecasting.
- Payroll and A/P Experience: Extensive experience in managing payroll and accounts payable processes.
- GAAP/FASB and IFRS Knowledge: Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed financial analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Multitasking Ability: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of productivity and attention to detail.
- Professionalism: Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
- Work Under Pressure: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Certification: CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Location: Reside and work in either the St. Louis, MO or Bluffton, SC area.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
