A thriving Tribal 638 healthcare facility serving the San Carlos Apache community is seeking a Locum Pharmacist to join its collaborative pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a technologically advanced pharmacy while making a meaningful impact in an underserved community.
Location: San Carlos, AZ
Start: ASAP
Assignment: Ongoing
Schedule: Variable shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation: Up to $78/hour
Setting: Tribal Hospital Pharmacy
Call: None
Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license (Arizona preferred)
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD
BLS certification
Inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
Ability to work variable shifts
Must pass background check and drug screen
Process medication orders accurately and efficiently
Verify and dispense prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations
Counsel patients on medication use and safety
Maintain current clinical medication knowledge
Process controlled substances in compliance with policy and law
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the pharmacy team to provide exceptional patient care
Adhere to pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality standards
Team-oriented and dependable
Flexible and adaptable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Critical thinker with excellent clinical judgment
Positive attitude and commitment to patient care
Robust pharmacy operation utilizing ScriptPro robotics, Omnicell dispensing systems, and automated technology
Approximately 1,000 prescriptions filled daily
