Job Summary
We are looking for an Administrative Medical Assistant to join our patient-centered healthcare team. In this fast-paced role, you will focus on patient care coordination and administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing phone calls and faxes, processing medication refills, handling referrals, and completing other tasks that keep the clinic running smoothly. You will also support patients and the care team with essential clinical tasks as needed.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys coordinating care while supporting patients and staff. It offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a busy, collaborative clinic environment.
Responsibilities
- Check in patients and manage patient flow in the clinic
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling and coordinating follow-up visits
- Handle phone calls, faxes, and other administrative communications
- Assist with medication refills and manage referrals to specialists or for DME supplies, with training provided as needed
- Document patient interactions accurately in the EHR
- Support the care team with basic MA tasks such as vitals, room prep, and minor procedures as directed
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
- Other duties as assigned that support patient care coordination and clinic operations
Requirements
- Medical Assistant training or relevant experience
- Comfortable using EHR systems for documentation
- Professional, patient-focused attitude
- Ability to multitask in a busy clinic environment
