Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash register operations, including processing cash transactions and giving correct change with basic math skills
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, cleaning equipment, and ensuring food safety standards are met
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or concerns
- Assist in food preparation tasks related to beverage service and ensure all food safety protocols are followed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is highly preferred; café experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transaction processing
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Experience in beverage preparation, drink service, and retail sales transactions is desirable
