ACI Construction is looking for a skilled Diesel & Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our team in Findlay, Ohio. This position is responsible for keeping our trucks, construction equipment, and other fleet assets dependable, safe, and ready for daily operation.
If you enjoy hands-on mechanical work, figuring out the cause of equipment problems, and seeing a repair through from diagnosis to completion, this could be a great opportunity for you.
In this role, you will work on a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
-
Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems and determining the appropriate repair
-
Servicing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, hydraulics, and related components
-
Performing routine maintenance and scheduled service on company equipment
-
Inspecting equipment to identify worn, damaged, or unsafe components
-
Using shop tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic technology to identify mechanical issues
-
Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards
-
Recording maintenance activities, repairs, and parts utilized
-
Communicating equipment concerns and repair priorities with operations and other members of the team
-
Helping maintain an orderly, clean, and safe shop and work area
-
Supporting the overall reliability and availability of the company equipment
We are interested in candidates who have practical experience working with diesel engines, trucks, construction machinery, or other heavy equipment.
Successful candidates will bring:
-
Previous experience as a diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, or similar position
-
The ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine effective repair solutions
-
Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel-powered systems
-
Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
-
The ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with the rest of the team
-
A strong commitment to safe work practices
-

We offer:
-
Full-time, year-round employment
-
Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications
-
Consistent work with an established local company
-
Exposure to a wide range of trucks and heavy construction equipment
-
A hands-on work environment where skilled mechanics are an important part of daily operations
