Cove Forge Behavioral Health System is currently seeking a Full-Time Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA-C) with experience in the Substance Use Disorder field to join our Medical and Consult Services team.
As a valued member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals receiving care within our Medical programs. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting patients on their journey toward recovery and improved mental wellness.
Schedule
Monday – Friday – working every other weekend (with scheduled days off when working weekends)
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) program required.
- Knowledge and experience in diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications, therapeutic treatment interventions, and patient care practices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses independently or as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Assess patients' physical health and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Document clinical observations, evaluations, and treatments in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Promote health and disease prevention through patient education and wellness initiatives.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and health screenings.
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional approach with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Address patient concerns effectively while fostering a safe and supportive treatment environment.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, quality care, and clinical excellence.
