Join our outdoor maintenance team as a Lawn, Landscape, and Snow Removal team member In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining beautiful landscapes and ensuring safe, accessible outdoor spaces year-round. Duties include performing lawn care, landscape maintenance, and snow removal tasks. Responsibilities
- Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to keep lawns and landscapes pristine.
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and watering to promote healthy turf growth.
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as planting, pruning, shrub trimming, planting bed upkeep, and plant identification to enhance property aesthetics.
- Manage irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure efficient watering schedules.
- Execute snow removal procedures using shovels, snow blowers, plows or salt spreaders to maintain safe walkways and driveways during winter months.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously while operating equipment and handling chemicals like pesticides or herbicides for pest management and plant health.
- Assist with tree trimming and grounds upkeep to promote safety and visual appeal of outdoor spaces.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment operation is essential for efficient work performance.
- Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, and groundskeeping is highly valued.
- Ability to identify various plants and understand horticulture principles enhances landscape design efforts.
- Familiarity with pesticide management practices ensures safe application when necessary.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and other grounds maintenance equipment.
- Outdoor work experience is required; physical stamina for long periods of standing, bending, lifting, and operating machinery is necessary.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols combined with a proactive attitude towards maintaining a safe work environment.
