Job Summary
Join our Gatsby team as a Full Time Daytime Bartender, where your energy and hospitality skills will create memorable experiences for our guests. Duties
- Prepare and serve beverages and packaged alcohol accurately using CLOVER POS system. Bartenders must ensure efficient cash handling and sales transactions
- Greet guests warmly, take drink orders, and recommend menu items to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards
- Manage inventory and deliveries with excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service for the bar and video gaming area
- Assist with food service when needed and prepping food area
- Handle cash register operations, perform basic math calculations for bills and tips, and reconcile daily sales accurately
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender and/or Server with knowledge of POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and positively
- Demonstrated ability in food safety practices, food handling, and responsible alcohol service. We will pay for the Illinois Certified Food Manger certification.
- Experience working in the food industry is highly preferred
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during daytime shifts
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, retail math, and billing accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
