Mount Rose Contractors LLC is a growing commercial general contractor seeking an experienced Construction Estimator / Project Coordinator to support our preconstruction and project management efforts. This is primarily a remote position for a self-motivated professional who can estimate commercial projects, prepare RFIs and submittals, coordinate schedules, and manage project documentation with minimal supervision.
Primary Responsibilities
· Prepare quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.
· Develop detailed construction estimates and budgets.
· Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and supplier proposals.
· Prepare bid packages, proposals, and value engineering recommendations.
· Prepare, submit, and track RFIs and submittals.
· Maintain project documentation and document control using Procore.
· Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
· Develop, update, and monitor project schedules.
· Coordinate procurement, permitting, and project closeout documentation.
· Support multiple commercial projects while meeting deadlines.
Must Have Qualifications
· 3+ years working for a commercial general contractor.
· Commercial estimating experience.
· Ability to read architectural, structural, MEP, and civil drawings.
· Experience preparing RFIs, submittals, proposals, and project documentation.
· Experience developing and maintaining construction schedules.
· Proficiency with Procore.
· Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
· Self-starter capable of working independently with excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to attend periodic meetings and jobsite visits throughout South Florida.
Preferred Qualifications
· PlanSwift
· Autodesk Construction Cloud
· Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
· Commercial tenant improvement experience
· Industrial and warehouse construction experience
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
· Base salary: $78,000–$88,000 annually, based on experience.
· Performance bonus of up to 10% based on estimating accuracy, project support, responsiveness, and company performance.
