NexTitle we want to help you write your story!
As an Escrow Officer, you will be responsible for building relationships and closing deals. You
will need to do all the usual Escrow Officer functions like preparing HUDs, deeds, evaluating
contracts and leading a team to ensure a seamless transaction for all parties. Additional duties
include inputting and validating data to ensure accurate final calculations and loan information,
reviewing and addressing title issues prior to closing. You’ll hold funds and other collateral
posted by contracting parties in escrow and when the time comes, file and deliver deeds along with
other legal documents, all while providing excellent customer service. At NexTitle we are
completely paperless and participate in a task based workflow; comfort with technology is a must!
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of escrow process, title clearing requirements and company
policies/procedures.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal as well as written
- Proficient in comprehension and critical thinking
- Good listening skills and ability to effectively understand what people are saying
- Expert judgement and decision making skills including a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Exceptional customer service and problem solving skills
- High level knowledge of title clearing requirements.
- Knowledge in lending and local government procedures, court procedures, etc.
- Demonstrable ability to build, motivate and lead effective teams of escrow staff.
- Self-starter with a willingness to work with limited direct supervision.
- Willingness to market business to grow customer/client referral base for all
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines and demonstrate strong follow-through while following
written procedures
- Demonstrates a business and personal philosophy consistent with NexTitle’s mission statement

Compensation/Rewards
The compensation range is a good faith estimate of the possible compensation at the time of the
posting, and is subject to change. The hourly rate for the position is between $25/hr. to $40/hr.
based on various factors, which may include a candidate’s education, training, and experience.

Education and Experience:
- Must have high school diploma
- Limited Practice Officer (LPO) license is preferred
- 3+ years escrow closing experience including; CD preparing and balancing, document preparation
and post-closing/disbursements
- Experience with closing documents and ability to explain to customers (CD, Deeds, Mortgages,
Notes, affidavits, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Mathematical Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to quickly assimilate oral and written data to analyze facts and draw logical conclusions.
Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
High level of proficiency with computers, software including Microsoft Office products (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other technology.
