Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations and ensure smooth and efficient workflow
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including scheduling and assigning tasks
- Develop and maintain standard recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistent quality
- Monitor food preparation, presentation, and safety standards
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to plan menus and specials
- Order and manage inventory of food and supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training kitchen staff
- Familiarity with hospitality management principles
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation regulations
- Bartending experience is a plus
- Previous experience in food service management is preferred
